The R5 release is here with some great new features that will help you simplify healthcare delivery to everyone everywhere!

We’re excited to share with you several changes that will improve the clinician and patient experience as well as give you new tools to configure how patients select their provider.

The following changes will be released on December 2nd, 2021:

Select a Provider View  Select a Provider View lets you configure different groups of providers that display to patients on the Select a Provider page. This is a powerful tool for promoting a specific group of providers to your patients.

Camera, Microphone & other Visit Enhancements  This is a variety of visit enhancements to improve the experience for patients and clinicians, including the ability to select the camera/microphone used during the visit.

Email Domain Name Check  The Email Domain Name Check improves the user’s experience by validating the user’s email when creating an account and helping them with common typos or errors.

Search by practice name when switching practices  This powerful feature is great for those users who need to switch between multiple practices. The switch practice dropdown in the header now supports searching for a practice by the practice name.

The below changes are exciting improvements that require no configuration or enablement but that we want to make sure you’re aware of:

Time Zone Dropdown Update  The time zone dropdown will now display all US time zones at the top of the list. Below that, the rest of the time zones will be sorted by the time zone offset (like it is today).

Default Color and other Accessibility Updates  The default color used in eVisit will change from our current teal to a darker blue to enhance accessibility for users who have visual impairments. NOTE: Branded colors will not be affected by this update.

Customizable Content Translation - the final phase  We’re excited to complete the remaining areas in eVisit that needed translation support! We now support the translation of our default health record options and insurance fields.

Preferred Language when creating a Patient  A new dropdown is now added when creating a new patient where the clinician can change the patient’s preferred language (English or Spanish).

Quick Entry Visits: Patient Attestation  Patients now attest to their location when using our new “Quick Entry Visits” workflow (State).

eVisit Public API: User Tags  Enterprise customers who need the ability to provision users in large quantities via eVisit’s public API can now specify user tags through user creation endpoints - a valuable capability for leveraging user tags at scale for reporting and segmentation needs.

eVisit Public API: Visit Signed Status  Within eVisit, determining when a clinician has completed their charting is critical for clinical staff to view a completed visit. Now, eVisit’s public API communicates a visit’s charting signature status as part of a visit summary. This is valuable to an integrated charting workflow, informing users of a more comprehensive visit summary within their EHR.
