eVisit CEO was selected for MedTech Startup Showcase of successful entrepreneurs
Phoenix, Ariz. (February 16, 2015) – Bret Larsen, CEO of the telehealth startup eVisit, will be a featured speaker at Phoenix Startup Week’s MedTech Startup Afternoon. Phoenix Startup Week, which takes place on February 23rd – 27th, is an annual meeting that provides the local startup community an opportunity to network, learn and grow. The MedTech Startup Afternoon was organized by MediCoventures in conjunction with Phoenix Startup Week to showcase local MedTech startups and the entrepreneurs who make them happen.
“For the MedTech Startup Showcase, we sought out entrepreneurs with great experiences, who could describe and educate the audience about various stages of success with these startups,” says Aaron Call, Partner at MediCoventures. “We picked Bret Larsen and eVisit because they not only took their concept to revenue, but did so in less than a year, on a shoestring budget, working nights and weekends. That’s a story other entrepreneurs want to hear and learn from."
Larsen is honored to be part of Phoenix Startup week, and excited to share eVisit’s growth story — from the ambitious concept of a telehealth software that would revolutionize healthcare delivery, to a revenue-generating company in the competitive digital health space.
“Building community around the startup movement here in Arizona is extremely important and I’m excited to be a part of that through Phoenix Startup Week,” says Larsen. “eVisit still has a long way to go, but I hope that by sharing our story over the past year, I can inspire others and continue to make Phoenix one of the top markets for startups.”
Larsen will be speaking at 1:50pm on February 23rd. For more details on the session, visit the Phoenix Startup Week website.
eVisit is a patient engagement telehealth application that allows SMB healthcare providers to connect with and treat their patients remotely. Unlike competitors, eVisit is the only software for providers designed to facilitate telemedicine reimbursement from third party payers. eVisit is transforming the healthcare delivery model and disrupting the $135 billion dollar primary care delivery market by providing physicians, PAs, and NPs a tool to recapture patient visits from urgent care and emergency room facilities. With eVisit, healthcare providers can cut wait times and no-shows, optimize patient flow, boost practice efficiency, and provide quick, convenient care when their patients have minor, but urgent conditions. Physicians increase practice revenue and patients receive high-quality care while at work, home, or on the road, from the doctor who knows them best.
