The Virtual Care Blog is pleased to share the the good news that our CEO and Co-Founder, Bret Larsen, is among 89 global business leaders that were named as recipients of the BIG Awards for Business this morning – showcased as inspirational example for the global business community. Bret was among five global leaders awarded the Small Business Executive of the Year award. He is in good company and the list of five includes the founders and leaders of: Amivero, a woman-owned business focused on IT solutions for Homeland Security and Law Enforcement; Immunicom, a firm dedicated to looking for non-pharmaceutical treatments of cancer and autoimmune disorders; Kannaway, a cannabis innovation company; HUYA Bioscience International, dedicated to accelerating the global development of novel biopharmaceutical product opportunities originating in China; and eVisit, dedicated to simplifying healthcare delivery to everyone, everywhere.
The BIG awards come from Business Intelligence Group, a firm dedicated to recognizing true talent and superior performance in the business world. These awards are unique among other recognition programs, as they are crowd-sourced. Business executives—those with experience and knowledge—judge the programs. The organization’s proprietary and unique scoring system selectively measures performance across multiple business domains and then rewards those companies whose achievements stand above those of their peers.
